I am a 2nd grade teacher in Albion. I've taught there since 1999. I've taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 4th grade. I've also been the middle school reading specialist and an elementary instructional support teacher. First and second grades are definitely my favorites.
I'm, of course, taking this class in order to be better informed and more knowledgeable about Data Director. The other reasons are that I had to take an online class as a requirement of being on a MI Champions team, and my dear friend, Carrie Fisher, made me :)
While I enjoy teaching a general ed classroom, I hope to one day be an elementary math or reading specialist. My friends all want to become adminstrators, but not me!
I am the mom to two beautiful, funny, clever, smart, little girls (I'm not biased in the least). Anderson is 4 1/2, and is finishing up preschool. We have kindergarten round up next week. Time has gone too quickly! My little Lilli is 1 1/2. She is a crazy one year old, and she's well on her way to the terrible twos :)
